Melvin, nice.

Below I wrote my first ever autobiography! Nice is not it?

Ever since I was young, I have loved entertaining people with my humor and easy conversation. As a 13-year-old teenager, I watched a lot of YouTube and wanted to try this myself. So I started making my first videos at the age of thirteen! However, I soon discovered that making such videos alone at a young age is very difficult and I stopped pretty quickly. Still, I remained interested and over time I gave it another try, this time with two of my best friends. We managed to reach 300 subscribers, but unfortunately it eventually failed. Despite everything, I still wanted to try it alone again. And no sooner said than done: on May 16, 2013, AlwaysMelvin was born and raised on the internet.

I continued with what I enjoyed and tried to collaborate with another content creator here and there. Unfortunately, this did not go smoothly, but I certainly had fun! And the twenty or so viewers I had per video gave me more than enough motivation to keep fighting and continue creating videos.

In this early phase of my career as a content creator, I really looked up to the English-language Yogscast and Milan Knol, the brother of Enzo Knol. At the time, Milan had a large YouTube channel called DagelijksHD (DHD) on which he uploaded gaming videos with a close group of people. And now in 2014 he is looking for a new member for this team. To have a chance, I had to enter the competition he set up and pass several rounds. It took a lot of discipline, motivation and creative skills, but in the end I managed to get into the final with the right qualities and win it. Because I had now become a member of DHD, I was allowed to upload on this channel and participate with the team. This gave me a lot of growth and fans in a very short time. AlwaysMelvin got bigger and bigger and I even started to be recognized on the street, something I never dreamed of before.

The years that followed have been a rollercoaster with many highlights. I got to know people, had several collaborations and managed to build a real fan group that I call the Melfam. In addition to doing a lot of Minecraft in my early years as a content creator, I also had all my necessary horror videos and series running during this period. I love horror, it's that simple. And the viewers too. Because in addition to sharing my sense of humor, I am all too often told that those scary moments are extremely funny. The horror content is what I still work on every week on all my channels and I dare say that I have put my name in YouTube Netherlands when it comes to all those scary horror games.

In addition to making YouTube videos, I have also been live on Twitch every week for more than six years. In my live streams on this platform, interaction with my viewers is number one. I think it is extremely important to give people a place where they can be themselves and laugh, cry and be shocked with me. In a variety of games and creative concepts I have created a place that is appreciated by hundreds of people.

AlwaysMelvin is not just a brand that I created. It is a story to which many have contributed a line. Will you write the next line?
